Kids Teacher Resources
Lots of activities, including printable ones with direct Canadian curriculum
links for appropriate grade levels. There are links to Eco-mentors which partners
high school students with elementary ones, lists of environmental speakers
by province (and town), and a place for kids to have their say.
Government
of Canada – Calendar Club
Join NRCat to tour the Tree house and look at different aspects of energy.
The site also has a link for teachers to get the Climate Change Kit, which
has information on how to introduce and teach climate change and how the children
can take these ideas home.
ECO-PALS
Classes are registered with a Pen Pal program matching grade level and number
of students. Correspondence (3 times per year minimum) is based on an environmental
assignment from ECO-Pals. Multi-media correspondence is promoted and links
to Ontario curriculum are available.
Bobbie Bigfoot
Lesson plans and activities for elementary and middle school on reducing ecological
footprints, waste reduction, smart energy choices.
York
University – Environmental Education Resources
This is a joint venture between the Faculties of Environmental Studies and
Education at York and various school boards in Southern Ontario. Teachers have
produced 7 comprehensive teaching units for grades 2/3 up to grade 7. The extensive
units meet curriculum requirements (across several subject areas) and encourage
environmental literacy.

This site was created by the Florida Solar Energy Center to help teachers and
students learn about energy. Activities, experiments and games are broken down
in to K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 grades and a teacher section as well.
