Water Management Training Program

Training is provided to assist building operators to install a water management program.
The objectives of this program are as follows:
• To explain why water conservation is beneficial and important.
• To show how to achieve water conservation through various measures and initiatives.
• To provide a basic understanding of the most common water conservation issues related to facilities.
• To address relevant maintenance issues.

Irrigations Plan
An Irrigation Survey is developed and issued to each facility to determine the types of irrigation systems (manual, automated, or a hybrid), amount of time turf was being irrigated, time of day of irrigation, “Rain Policy”, turf status (new seed or established grass, etc. After gathering and processing data from the facilities, the team develops an irrigation reduction plan. Facilities are prioritized to identify “target” sites with a high probability of unnecessary usage. New irrigation methods are created for the target facilities, such as adjusted irrigation times, better communication between staff and landscape office, education on better management practices, and updated equipment installed.
