Jayson Miller
Business Development
Jayson brings expertise in utility accounting and management. He is responsible for sales
generation using a combination of direct selling and strategic alliances. He also works with GRES clients to construct custom utility resource reduction programs, which assist clients to maximize utility savings. Jayson earned a Business B.S. from Whitworth College in Spokane in 1992.
Jayson co-founded Utility Cost Management Inc in 1993, an energy consulting firm, where he
created and marketed custom energy audit solution programs to clients. He assisted UCM in the creation of the first utility accounting program (Utility Manager™) for Windows® by conducting market research to identify the customers’ needs in utility accounting software. Jayson also helped in the creation of Resource Conservation Managers that he introduced into school districts in the Northwest with the funding of local utility companies. UCM sold its software rights to Illinova Energy Partners in 1996.
Jayson was employed as a consultant by Illinova Energy Partners from 1996 – 1998. During this time he helped design the second generation of the Utility Manager™ software program, and created a database structure and population service for Utility Manager™ clients.
In 1999 Jayson co-founded Save More Resources Inc. here he marketed the Utility Manager™ software program to public institutions. Using the software to build databases and perform energy audits, his extensive knowledge of the product proved to be a valuable tool he used to find solutions for the customers’ energy problems. Jayson’s RCM programs for school districts in the Northwest were such a success, that he duplicated his efforts by developing and administering the Colorado Springs School District 11 RCM program which has realized over $3 million in savings over a 4 year period. |
